Once, an experiment was performed by Psychologist Richard Wiseman to inspect the connection between a red clown nose and people’s laughter. The  clown nose  is a mask. As Pierre Byland famously said when he first introduced it  as part of the Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq training. Clown's nose  is the smallest mask in the world. Unlike other masks such as Commedia,  neutral, or larval masks, which cover somehow, this one does the  opposite. This one uncovers a clown’s face. It works like a magnifying glass or  bulls' eye because it brings all the attention right to the middle of your face, right  between the eyes; it opens your face and softens your brain. This Red nose is a  mask, but the smallest in the world. This means the other can see everything even  when one is wearing this.
